A Circle of Friends
Twice a month, I join with a wonderful group of enlightened spiritual comrades who get together to meditate on the personal, the cosmic and what ever else comes through. We receive messages, symbols and visions that aide us on our path and lighten the journey. This group of dear and trusted friends has been meeting for several years now, we come together in various combinations to receive inspiration and to give back to the universe, to focus and cleanse our energies. Every time we meet we take a unique spiritual journey receiving a new level of expansion, an understanding, vibration, or a healing. This dimensional travel becomes, to those of us who venture both inward and outward, a requirement like that of breathing fresh air, of eating nourishing food and drink or partaking in blissful deep and satisfying sleep. Once begun, this type of travel becomes part of the sustenance of really living and enjoying our lives. It refreshes the spirit and enriches our point of view. We become more aware of ourselves and our living, more mindful of what we are choosing and creating in our lives.
And from time to time we do take break. Sometimes they are short and of designated length, like taking a break over the holidays or for a summer vacation, sometimes we pause because specific members need a rest or other life issues step in. But sooner or later a call goes out to one or more of the steadfast circle, and we reform with our central group of friends and add new participating friends for the most recent grouping. As life changes, the circle of friends who join us change, and that is good; for it’s important to find the right mix of people – those who are at the correct vibration and who can balance the energies for the task at hand. One year, one set of people may be able to work together and another year it will be slightly different. I encourage those who feel called to, to participate, knowing that the universe will attract the best individuals to accomplish and receive that which is given.
I have written before about the brief meditation of reconnecting and resetting yourself frequently throughout the day – (DreamWeaver Issue January 2008,Reset Your Life with the 5 x 5 Frequency), this frequency connection will truly shift your vibration helping you tlize your personal emotions and surround yourself with a much higher frequency to work from. Working by yourself is very important, but joining with a group of like minded people in meditation amp up the energy. The power of the group joining together not only increases the energy, but does so exponentially magnifying the energy and intension. (Three people meditating together is not 1+1+1 =3 – it is 3 x 3 x 3 = 27.) Whether your group meets and uses guided meditation, or whether you meditate in silence, or with spiritual music, it is helpful to set an intention, personal or for the group to reflect on as the meditation begins. My group begins our first session with a focus on personal issues or energies, and then in a second session of the sitting we increase the frequency and meditate on more global or cosmic conceptions. After each session, those of the group who wish to share perceptions or thoughts can do so. It is during the “sharing time” that the enormity of what we have been working on develops. We have experienced shared visions, received messages for ourselves and others in the group, heard and seen ascended masters, received blessings and healings, have smelled bouquets of flowers not in the room, and have received insights to our lives that have motivated us to expand our understanding and connection to All That Is.
I do suggest that meditation groups follow some simple guidelines. These are outlined in Ruth Montgomery’s book Search for Truth as she quotes Arthur Ford, and in White Eagles many books of spiritual exploration as follows:
However you do it, traveling the dimensions
with a circle of friends is a rewarding and inspiring adventure.
Let the circle expand so the spiritual consciousness of mankind
and of the New Earth grows in the vibration of peace and oneness.
Let us join together with our circle of Friends as we are at
One with ourselves and at One with All That Is.

- Expect something wonderful to happen, for creation follows thought.
- To prepare for group meditation, each member should set aside a few minutes each day to connect with the Divine.
- According to Arthur Ford, now deceased psychic and medium, "each member should be like-minded and serious in their intention to work with the Divine." "As you arrive, don't chatter and gossip," Ford advises, "go immediately into silent meditation together. After your concentrated God centered connection, quietly share your experiences together. In this way you will grow in awareness."
